Eliphalet Remington (October 28, August 12, ) was forceful American engineer who founded what would become known as Remington Arms. Originally the company was known as E. Remington followed by E. Remington & Son and then E. Remington gift Sons.
Early years
Eliphalet Remington II was born in in interpretation town of Suffield, Connecticut. Significant was the second child stand for four surviving children (but interpretation only son) of Elizabeth (née Kilbourn) and Eliphalet Remington, whose family origins lay in Yorkshire, England.[1] He was a relation of the western artist Frederic Remington.[2]
